Senior 1st XI Capping Tradition Minimize

A new tradition begun in the highly successful 2004/2005 season, is the introduction of a capping system for the Senior XI.

All players are presented with a baseball style cap upon selection, but once they have participated in 20 official senior matches for the 1st Eleven, they are presented with a traditional styled ‘baggy green’ Onslow cap (as pictured). This cap is embroidered with the players capping number and is presented to him by the captain prior to running on to the field in his 20th appearance.

Many players prior to the 2004/2005 would have earned a capping but the number system only relates to those who were playing at the beginning of that season.
